Pumpkin Throwdown at Punkin Chunkin 2008 (with Video!)
Last week, we wrote about the changing mechanics of Punkin Chunkin. But there's describing what it's like to hurl pumpkins 4000 feet with an air cannon, and then there's watching it happen. Photographer Brad DeCecco was on hand in Delaware this weekend to record the best of this cutthroat competition.
The trophy for the World Championship Punkin Chunkin held annually near Seaford, Delaware. The 3-day event draws more than 60,000 people from around the world to watch people and machines compete at hurling pumpkins for charity.
